Install ConnectUC on your computer
Use ConnectUC in Chrome or Edge, install it as an app, or download the Windows and Mac desktop app.
You can run ConnectUC in a browser tab, install it as a lightweight app from your browser, or use the full desktop app. All three sign in the same way and show the same features.
Option 1: Use ConnectUC in your browser
This is the quickest way to start. Nothing to install.
- Open Chrome or Edge.
- Go to uc.dialraven.com.
- Sign in with your username (for example
101@yourcompany) and password. - Allow sound and notifications when the browser asks.
Heads up: Keep the tab open all day. If you close it, ConnectUC can’t ring.
Option 2: Install it from your browser
Chrome and Edge can install ConnectUC as its own app window with a taskbar or dock icon. This also stops the “app is muted” prompt that some browsers show.
- Sign in at uc.dialraven.com in Chrome or Edge.
- Click your user icon, then Preferences.
- Open Integrations and, under Browser Integration, click Install ConnectUC.
- Click Install when your browser asks.
- Optional: click Register for One-Click Calling so phone number links on websites open in ConnectUC.
To open it when your computer starts:
- Windows: open the app, click the … menu, and choose Pin to Start.
- Mac: right-click the app icon in the dock and choose Open at Login. Choosing Keep in Dock helps too.
Option 3: Install the desktop app
The desktop app is a full Windows or Mac program. It’s the best choice if you want headset call buttons to work.
- Sign in to ConnectUC on the web.
- Click your user icon, then Preferences, then Apps.
- Under ConnectUC Desktop App, click Download ConnectUC Desktop (Windows) or Download ConnectUC Desktop (macOS).
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installer.
- Open ConnectUC and sign in.
The same Apps page has QR codes for the mobile app in the App Store and Google Play, and a sign-in QR code under Already have the Mobile App?.
Tip: If you install both the browser app and the desktop app, they can look alike. Check which one you’re opening.
Closing the desktop app
Clicking the X (Windows) or red button (Mac) only minimizes the window. ConnectUC keeps running so calls still ring.
To fully quit, for example when you need a restart:
- Choose File → Exit, or
- Right-click the ConnectUC icon in your system tray and choose Quit.
Check your version
- Web: your version number is shown at the lower left of the Preferences page, with a refresh button to check for a newer one.
- Windows desktop app: click Help → About.
- Mac desktop app: click ConnectUC → About ConnectUC.
Common questions
What do I need to run it?
The latest Chrome or Edge for the web version. For the desktop app, Windows 10 or 11, or macOS 12 or newer.
Will my headset’s answer button work?
On the desktop app, call control works with many USB headsets from Yealink, Jabra, Sennheiser, and Logitech. Bluetooth headsets work for audio, but their answer and hang-up buttons won’t control calls.
My headset buttons stopped working. Why?
If Microsoft Teams is installed, it can take over the headset. For Yealink headsets, also make sure Yealink’s USB Connect software isn’t running.
