Call history and call recordings

Review recent calls in ConnectUC, filter missed calls, and play, share, transcribe, or summarize call recordings.

ConnectUC → Calls Every user 5 minutes

ConnectUC keeps a list of your recent calls on every device. If call recording is turned on for your extension, you can also play back calls and get a written transcript or summary.

View your call history

  1. Click Calls in the left-side menu. On mobile, open Calls → Call History.
  2. Scroll through Recent Calls. Click any entry to see details and call back.
The Recent Calls list with the Clear Call History, Download CSV, and Filter icons at the top

The icons at the top of Recent Calls let you clear your history, download it as a CSV file, and filter the list to Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, or Missed Calls.

Show only missed calls (mobile)

Tap Filter at the top right and choose the type of calls to see. Missed calls show helpful notes in red, like which coworker picked up instead, or which call queue the caller hung up in.

Clear your history

  • Computer: click Clear Call History at the top of Recent Calls.
  • Mobile: tap clear history at the top right. You can bring it back later with Restore Call History in the filter options.

Record a call

Why: recordings help with training, disputes, and notes.

  1. During a call, click RECORD in the call window. A RECORDING label appears under the caller’s name.
  2. Click PAUSE to skip a sensitive part, or STOP to end the recording.

New recordings show up in your call history once they’re ready, which can take a few minutes.

Heads up: The RECORD button only appears if recording is turned on for your extension. If your company records every call automatically, pauses are limited to 60 seconds. Make sure you follow your local laws about telling callers they’re being recorded.

Play a recording

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Look for the audio wave icon next to a call. That means it was recorded.
  3. Click the call and press play.

Get a transcript or summary

  1. Open a recorded call.
  2. At the bottom of the call details, click Generate Transcription to see the conversation as text under Transcript.
  3. Click Generate Summary for an AI Generated Call Summary.
  4. Use the copy button to paste either one into your notes.

If you see a message that call summarization isn’t enabled, ask your admin or Dial Raven support to turn it on. Transcripts can miss words when there’s background noise or strong accents, so check important details against the audio.

Share a recording

  1. Open the call and click Share at the top right.
  2. Pick one or more coworkers.
  3. Choose what to include: comments, the audio, notes, the AI summary, and the transcript.
  4. Click Forward. It arrives in their Chat tab.

You can also click Create Note on any call to keep your own notes with it.

Common questions

Why do I see a missed call on my desk phone but not in ConnectUC?

Desk phones keep their own call list. ConnectUC shows what the phone system records. If a call rang a group and someone else answered, the phone system may not count it as missed for you.

Where are recordings stored? Can I save them to my computer?

Recordings are stored in the cloud, not on your computer. Contact your admin if you need copies kept elsewhere.

New calls only show after I refresh. Why?

ConnectUC may have lost its live connection, often after your computer sleeps. Refresh the page or sign out and back in.
