ConnectUC overview

What ConnectUC does, how the screen is laid out, and whether to use the web, desktop, or mobile version.

ConnectUC Every user 5 minutes

ConnectUC is the Dial Raven app for everyday calling and messaging. It turns your computer or smartphone into a business phone that uses your company number and extension.

What you can do in ConnectUC

  • Calls: make and answer calls, hold, transfer, park, and conference.
  • Voicemail: listen, download, forward, and read transcriptions.
  • SMS: send and receive business text messages, including group texts.
  • Chat: message coworkers one-on-one or in groups.
  • Meetings: hold video meetings with screen sharing.
  • Contacts: see your company directory, shared contacts, and your own contacts, with live availability.
  • Fax: send and receive faxes, if your account has fax.

Heads up: Some features, like SMS, fax, and voicemail transcription, must be turned on by your admin. If a tab is missing, that’s usually why.

Common questions

Is ConnectUC the same on every device?

Mostly. The computer versions have every feature. The mobile app covers the features that make sense on a phone.

Does ConnectUC work in a virtual desktop (like Citrix)?

ConnectUC isn’t designed for virtual desktop environments. Run it directly on your computer instead.

Does ConnectUC have a dark mode?

Not in the web version today. The web app uses a light theme with a dark left-side menu.

Are there keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. Open Preferences → Keyboard Shortcuts for the full list. For example, Shift + Alt + K opens the dial pad and Shift + Alt + D turns Do Not Disturb on or off.
