Monthly numbers, failure reasons in plain words, and CSV downloads of contacts, opt-outs, blast results and your inbox.

SMS Blast → Reports Account owners and team members 5 minutes

The Reports page shows how many texts you sent in a month, how many arrived, who opted out and who replied. You can also download your contacts, opt-outs, blast results and inbox as spreadsheet files.

Everyone on your team (owners and team members) can see Reports and download files.

Open your report

  1. In the menu on the left, click Reports.
  2. You see this month’s numbers. To see another month, pick it from the month box and click Show, or use the arrow buttons.

Days and times use your company’s time zone (you’ll see it under the page title). So “October” means October 1 at midnight to October 31 at 11:59 PM where your business is.

What the numbers mean

NumberWhat it counts
Texts sentEvery text that went out this month: blasts, automations, replies you typed in the Inbox, and the automatic replies to STOP and HELP.
Plan usageHow much of your monthly plan you used. A long text counts as more than one (each 160 characters is one), and a picture text counts as 3.
DeliveredTexts the phone company confirmed reached the phone.
Delivery rateDelivered out of texts sent. Some carriers don’t send a confirmation right away, so this can go up for a day or two after a blast.
FailedTexts that didn’t get through this month, including ones that never left (for example because your monthly limit was reached).
Opt-outsNumbers added to your opt-out list this month: people who texted STOP, and numbers you added yourself. Someone who opted out and then texted START again isn’t counted.
Replies receivedTexts people sent you this month. STOP, START and HELP don’t count as replies.
New contactsContacts added this month (imported, added by hand, or joined by sign-up).
New sign-upsPeople who joined by texting your sign-up keyword or filling in your sign-up page. Someone who was already on the list isn’t counted again.

  • Opted out after: people from this blast who texted STOP in the 3 days after it went out.
  • Replies: people from this blast who texted you back in the 3 days after it went out.

Click a blast’s name to open it.

Automations

Top failure reasons

Why texts didn’t get through, in plain words, with the most common reason first. The usual ones:

Not a valid phone numberThe number is mistyped or doesn’t exist.Check the number and fix it.

Carrier blocked / Carrier blocked it as spamThe phone company filtered the text.Avoid link shorteners like bit.ly, ALL CAPS and lots of $ or !!!. Make sure your texts match what people signed up for. Contact Dial Raven support if it keeps happening.

If we don’t recognize a reason, you see the phone company’s own words.

Download your data (CSV files)

The Download your data section on Reports

Downloads are spreadsheet files (CSV). They open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Each file has everything, not just one month, and the dates use your company’s time zone.

FileWhere to find itWhat’s in it
ContactsContacts page, Download CSV (or Reports)Name, phone, email, lists, how and when they agreed to get texts (consent), and whether they opted out.
Opt-outsOpt-outs page, Download CSV (or Reports)Every opted-out number, why (texted STOP, added by you), when, and the contact’s name if they’re saved.
Compliance recordReports pageEvery contact with their consent record and opt-out status, plus every opted-out number that isn’t a saved contact. Keep this if a carrier or lawyer ever asks how people agreed to your texts.
Blast resultsOpen a blast, click Download resultsOne row per person: phone, name, status, when it was sent, delivered or failed, and the reason in plain words.
Inbox historyInbox page, Download history (or Reports)Every text in your inbox conversations: phone, name, sent or received, the text, time and status.

Files are named after your company, what’s in them and today’s date, like sunrise-bakery-contacts-2026-10-26.csv.

Good to know

  • Big lists are fine. A file with 100,000 contacts takes a few seconds to download.
  • A cell that starts with ': if a name or text started with =, +, - or @, the file adds a ' in front. That stops a spreadsheet from treating it as a formula, which keeps your computer safe. Phone numbers are written like (215) 555-0100, so they don’t get one.
  • Keep files safe. These files have your customers’ phone numbers. Store them somewhere private and delete copies you don’t need.
  • Each download is recorded (who, what and when) so Dial Raven can help if you ever need to know who downloaded your data.
